Refund Policy

A digital product, delivered immediately

The Relocation Manual is a digital download. After a successful purchase, your download link appears on the order confirmation page and is sent to your email address, typically within a few minutes. There is nothing to ship and nothing to return.

When a sale becomes final

Because the files are delivered immediately and can be downloaded and kept, sales are final once your download begins — except where the consumer law that applies to you says otherwise (see the EU, EEA, and UK section below), and except for the situations listed under "Things we always fix or refund." We do not advertise a trial period or a satisfaction window, and refunds are not automatic — but every request is reviewed individually, and we honor every right the law gives you.

If you purchase from us as a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK and purchase from us, you have a legal right to withdraw from (cancel) this purchase within 14 days of the purchase date, without giving a reason. Our checkout does not ask you to waive this right, so you keep it — starting your download does not take it away.

To exercise it: email support@therelocationmanual.com within 14 days of your purchase, with your order number and a clear statement that you are withdrawing from the contract. You may use this model form, or ask us for a copy:

"I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale for The Relocation Manual, ordered on [date], order number [number]. — [Name], [email address], [date]."

We will confirm receipt by email and refund you in full to your original payment method.

Things we always fix or refund

Regardless of the final-sale rule above, we always resolve the following:

  • Delivery email never arrived — contact us and we will re-send your download link.
  • Broken or expired download link — we re-issue it.
  • Corrupt or unreadable files — we re-issue the files or refund you.
  • Product materially not as described — we make it right or refund you.
  • Duplicate purchase — we refund the duplicate order.
  • Unauthorized transaction — contact us and your bank; we will cooperate fully.

Device and software expectations

The package uses standard formats: PDF documents and an XLSX (Excel-format) workbook, delivered as a ZIP file. Any current PDF reader and any spreadsheet application that opens XLSX files (Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, LibreOffice) will work — see the FAQ for details. If you have trouble opening a file, email us and we will help. A standard-format file that works is not refundable merely because you would have preferred a different format.

How to request a refund

Email support@therelocationmanual.com with your order number and a short description of the issue. Every request is reviewed individually.

Refund timing

We initiate approved refunds promptly, to your original payment method. How quickly the refund appears on your statement is determined by your bank or card issuer.

After a refund

Once a refund is issued, we ask that you delete the downloaded files from your devices. Your license to use the Product ends with the refund.

Before opening a payment dispute, contact us

If something is wrong with your order, please email us first — we resolve almost everything faster than a card dispute can. If a chargeback or payment reversal is opened, we respond to it through our payment processor, Shopify Payments, with the order and delivery records.

Download problems are support issues, not lost purchases

If your download email does not arrive, a link stops working, or you lose your files later, that is a support issue — your purchase is not lost. Email support@therelocationmanual.com with your order number and we will re-issue your download link.
